Privacy Policy

How digiPeeps collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

digiPeeps Pty Ltd ABN 90 639 024 123 (we, us, our) respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

Last updated: 28 July 2026 | Version: 1.2. This is the current version. We keep dated copies of earlier versions.

Who is responsible. Our Privacy Officer looks after privacy at digiPeeps. You can reach them any time at privacy@digipeeps.com.au, or by post at Level 1, 63-73 Ann St, Surry Hills NSW 2010.

1. What we collect

1.1We collect the personal information we genuinely need, which may include your name, email, phone, business details, the content and logins you give us to do your work, billing details, and records of our dealings with you.

1.2When you use our website we also collect technical information (such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser) through cookies and analytics.

1.3We do not seek sensitive information (such as health, race or beliefs). In the rare case we genuinely need it, we'll collect it only with your consent and only where it's reasonably necessary for a purpose we've explained. Please don't send us sensitive information unless we've asked for it.

2. How we collect it and how we tell you

2.1Directly from you — when you enquire, sign up, email, call or work with us. Automatically — through our website, cookies and analytics. Occasionally from third parties — for example a platform you connect us to, or a referral. If we get your information from someone else, we protect it under this policy.

2.2When we collect personal information from you, at or before that time we take reasonable steps to tell you who we are, why we're collecting it, who we usually share it with, that it may be disclosed overseas (see section 6), and how this policy lets you access, correct or complain. We'll also tell you the main consequences if you choose not to give us information we need — usually that we can't provide the service, or part of it.

2.3Sometimes we handle personal information that a client gives us about their own customers or contacts (for example a contact or lead list). Where that happens, we rely on our client to have told those people as their own privacy obligations require, and we handle the information under this policy and our agreement with the client. If you think your information reached us this way and you have questions, contact privacy@digipeeps.com.au.

3. Why we use it

3.1To provide and improve our services, respond to you, run and administer our business, meet our legal obligations, and — where you've consented or would reasonably expect it — to send you marketing about things we think are relevant (see section 4).

4. Marketing and how to opt out

4.1We send marketing only where the law allows. For electronic messages (email and SMS), that means only where you've given express or inferred consent under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) — for example because you're an existing client or asked to hear from us. Every electronic message identifies us as the sender and carries a working unsubscribe.

4.2You can opt out any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing privacy@digipeeps.com.au. We action unsubscribe requests within 5 business days, and keep every unsubscribe facility working for at least 30 days after a message is sent. On request, we'll also tell you the source of your contact details and stop sending you marketing.

4.3Once you unsubscribe, we add your address to a do-not-contact list and keep it there. We will not re-add you to marketing through a website form, sign-up or game — your choice stands until you tell us otherwise.

4.4If you contact us after opting out. You can still reach us any time. If you send us an enquiry (for example a quote or support request) while on our do-not-contact list, we treat it as a one-off, you-initiated direct request: we reply to that request only, you stay off marketing, and we ask you to confirm you understand this before your message is sent. We keep a record of that confirmation (including its date, time and IP address) so both sides know where they stand.

4.5Spam and unsolicited solicitations. We use automated checks to detect and block spam and unsolicited commercial solicitations sent through our forms (for example link-selling or guest-post offers). We may refuse, discard or record such submissions to protect our team and prevent abuse. If you believe you were blocked in error, you can contact us directly.

5. Who we share it with

5.1We share personal information only as needed to run our business: with our team and carefully chosen contractors (who are bound to keep your information confidential and handle it consistently with this policy); with the service providers that power what we do — for example Google (Analytics/Ads), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), our website host (WordPress.com / Automattic), payment provider (Stripe) and email tools; where the law requires it; and, if we ever sell the business, with the buyer under confidentiality.

5.2We do not sell your personal information.

6. Overseas disclosure

6.1Some of our providers — including Google, Meta, Stripe and our website host (WordPress.com / Automattic) — store or process personal information overseas. The country most likely to receive your information is the United States[add any other countries your providers process in, e.g. Ireland / the EU — review annually].

6.2We don't ask you to "consent" to these disclosures just by using our site. Instead, before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps — including binding our providers by contract — to ensure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. And we're upfront about this: we remain accountable under the Privacy Act for how these overseas recipients handle your information. We don't try to contract that responsibility away.

7. Keeping it safe

7.1We take reasonable physical, electronic and managerial steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure, so we can't guarantee it — but we treat your data with genuine care.

8. How long we keep it

8.1We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we destroy or de-identify it.

9. If something goes wrong — data breaches

9.1If a data breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll act quickly to contain it and will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. Automated decisions and our use of AI

10.1We don't make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you — a real person is meaningfully involved in decisions we make about you. Some analytics and advertising platforms we use (such as Google and Meta) apply their own algorithmic targeting and optimisation, but that processing doesn't, on its own, make decisions that significantly affect your rights or interests. If this ever changes, we'll update this policy to describe those decisions and the information used before we rely on them.

10.2We use AI tools to help us do our work, including drafting and refining copy, producing artwork and writing code. We are open about this rather than pretending otherwise.

10.3A person always reviews and approves the work before it is published, sent or handed to you. AI assists us; it does not decide, and it never publishes on its own.

10.4We don't put your personal information, logins or confidential material into public AI tools, and we use business tiers that do not train their models on what we send. Where we use AI on your account, we tell you and you can ask us not to.

10.5Where you talk to an automated assistant on our website, we identify it as AI up front and always give you a clear path to a real person, in line with OAIC guidance on public-facing AI tools.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

11.1You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that's wrong — free of charge — by emailing privacy@digipeeps.com.au. We may need to verify your identity first, and in limited cases the law lets us decline.

11.2If we decline a request, we'll tell you in writing, explain why (where it's reasonable to do so), and let you know how to complain. If we decline to correct information, you can ask us to attach a statement to your record noting the correction you asked for.

12. Complaints

12.1If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first at privacy@digipeeps.com.au — we take it seriously and will respond promptly. If we can't sort it out, you can escalate to the OAIC (oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992).

13. EU and UK visitors

13.1Where the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, we'll use reasonable efforts to give effect to your rights under it — including access, correction, erasure, objection and portability — and we'll tell you if any right is limited or doesn't apply in your case. Contact privacy@digipeeps.com.au and we'll help.

14. Cookies and other websites

14.1We use cookies to run the site, understand traffic (analytics) and, through providers like Google and Meta, to show relevant ads. Most browsers let you control or block cookies, though some features may not work as well. Our site may link to other websites — their privacy practices are their own, so please check their policies.

15. Changes to this policy

15.1We may update this policy. We'll post the current version here with a new "last updated" date, and for any material change we'll give reasonable notice rather than spring it on you.

16. General

16.1This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

16.2Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. Where this policy and those laws differ, those laws win.

Our promise. Our promise. Your information is yours to control. We don't sell it, we're honest about where it goes, and there's a real person you can always reach. Privacy shouldn't need a law degree to understand — and it shouldn't be a lie dressed up as compliance.
